How Pacific collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Article 1 — Data controller
The data controller for personal data collected via the Pacific site is the Pacific team, a volunteer community project. For any questions about your data, contact us via the ticket system.
Article 2 — Data collected
When using the site, the following data may be collected:
- Via Steam OpenID: SteamID64, Steam username, Steam avatar URL.
- Via Discord OAuth2: Discord ID, Discord username (only if you link your account).
- Support tickets: message content, attachments, SteamIDs of players involved.
- Game data: public game statistics via the RankEval API (kills, resources, etc.).
- Technical data: IP address (Django sessions), server access logs.
Article 3 — Purpose of processing
Collected data is used to:
- Authenticate users via Steam and Discord.
- Manage the support ticket system.
- Display player profiles and public statistics.
- Apply sanctions (bans) and maintain the public ban list.
- Send notifications via Discord (ticket replies, DMs).
Article 4 — Legal basis
The processing of your data is based on your consent (Steam login, Discord linking) and on Pacific's legitimate interest in managing the server and ensuring community safety.
Article 5 — Data sharing
Pacific does not sell or rent your personal data. Some data may be shared with:
- Steam (Valve): OpenID authentication.
- Discord: OAuth2 account linking, notifications.
- BattleMetrics: ban management (SteamID, reason).
Article 6 — Retention period
- Session data: duration of session + 2 weeks.
- Player profiles: retained indefinitely as long as the account exists.
- Tickets and messages: retained indefinitely for moderation history.
- Bans: retained indefinitely (public transparency).
Article 7 — Your rights
You have the following rights over your personal data:
- Right of access to your personal data.
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal and moderation obligations.
- Right to object to processing.

Article 8 — Cookies
The site uses session cookies necessary for authentication to function. No advertising cookies are used.
Article 9 — Security
Pacific implements reasonable technical measures to protect your data (HTTPS, session hashing, restricted access to sensitive data). As a volunteer project, no absolute security guarantee can be offered.
