Rules
Keep it fair, keep it fun. Breaking these gets you warned, then banned.
General Rules
These rules apply to all Pacific servers. Breaking any of the rules listed below may result in a suspension from using our servers. By playing on our servers, you are accepting the rules listed below.
To keep gameplay fair and enjoyable for everyone, hacking and cheating of any kind are not allowed. This includes using third-party programs or exploiting the game to gain an unfair advantage.
- No aimbots, wallhacks, or ESP tools. Any form of aim or vision assistance is not permitted.
- No scripts or macros — automated actions that give you an edge are considered cheating.
- No game exploits or glitch abuse. Intentionally using bugs or unintended mechanics is not allowed.
- No third-party software. Programs that modify gameplay or give an advantage are strictly forbidden — the only exception is Facepunch-approved software like CrosshairX.
- No account sharing with cheaters. Associating with known cheaters or sharing accounts used to cheat may result in a ban.
- Accounts with a Rust game ban less than 365 days old are refused. Older bans may be accepted after an appeal through a support ticket.
- No ban evading.
- Playing with cheaters or ban evaders can get you permanently removed from our servers.
- Lag machines and entity spamming may have the offending items removed. Repeat offenders — and their team — may be banned.
Breaking these rules leads to permanent bans. Fair play is the only way.
Staff Respect
Pretending to be a server admin or staff member is not allowed under any circumstances. It creates confusion, spreads misinformation, and undermines trust in the community.
- Do not claim to be staff. Even as a joke, this is taken seriously and will result in a ban.
- Do not use staff-like names or tags. Avoid names or symbols that could mislead others.
- Do not give out false information. Misleading players by pretending to enforce rules is a bannable offence.
- Report issues properly. If you see a problem, open a ticket.
Impersonation will result in disciplinary action, including possible bans.
In-Game Compensation
We do not interfere with gameplay. As such, we do not return lost items or destroy bases.
Exploiting
Exploiting is strictly prohibited on Pacific servers. Using bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage undermines fair play and can negatively impact the experience for others. Players found exploiting will face consequences, including potential bans.
Real Money Transactions
Real money transactions are not allowed on any Pacific server. Buying, selling, or trading in-game items, currency, or services for real-world money is strictly prohibited. This helps maintain fair gameplay and protect the integrity of the community — if caught, it will result in a ban.
Global Chat
- No spamming or abusing chat filters.
- No DDoS or dox threats.
- Do not call out cheaters publicly.
- Do not call out streamers publicly.
- No sharing personal information about yourself or others.
- No chat or mute baiting — this may result in a ban.
- No threats or anything illegal.
- No advertising or promoting, with the exception of in-game trading offers.
Common Sense Rule
Rust is already a challenging and often frustrating game. Deliberately trying to upset other players for your own amusement doesn't add anything positive to the experience for anyone else. There's a difference between in-game conflict and unnecessary personal attacks in chat. If you think something will get you banned or muted, don't do it.
Steam Naming and Profile Pictures
Please have respectful names and profile pictures. If your name or profile picture is deemed disrespectful, homophobic, or racist, you may be removed from the server and asked to change it.
Staff Have Final Say
Staff will make the final call on how the rules are interpreted and how disputes are resolved. This ensures the rules are applied consistently and fairly. Staff decisions are final — this helps keep the game balanced and fun for everyone.
Group Limit Rules
These rules apply to Pacific Main (Solo/Duo/Trio/Quad).
- No more than 4 players authed on codes, TCs, or turrets — this includes online and offline team members.
- No more than 4 players in a team or group.
- No giving away bases. You can abandon a base by removing all locks/beds and clearing auth on TCs and turrets.
- No allies, truces, hostages, or agreeing not to kill/raid each other.
- Do not let any player outside your team into your base or compound.
- Hotels, villages, base sharing, and public bases are not allowed.
- Occasional trading between teams is allowed. Regular dealings that turn into an alliance are not.
How to swap team members
- Remove and replace all code locks.
- Clear all Tool Cupboards.
- Break all bags and beds placed by the teammate you're swapping out.
- Kill the sleeper of the player you're swapping out.
- Once all of this is done, your new teammate may join.
Raid Hours
These rules apply to Pacific Main only.
Raiding is restricted to set hours so players who can't be online around the clock still have a fair shot at defending their base.
- Raiding (explosives, raiding tools against another team's base) is only allowed during the server's raid window. Exact hours are announced on Discord and may change between wipes.
- Building, farming, and PvP outside raid hours are unaffected — only base destruction is restricted.
- Raiding outside of raid hours will result in a ban.
Outside raid hours
Breaking any structural part of a base is an automatic ban: foundations, walls, roofs, ceilings, frames, stairs, ramps, ramparts, doors, dispensers and windows.
- You may still break deployables: barricades, turrets, boxes and similar items.
- You may break a Tool Cupboard on a decaying or abandoned base.
- Sinking a Tugboat is allowed at any time. Breaking its doors follows raid hours.
- Code raiding and raiding a shelter are allowed at any time.
- Destroying decaying structures counts as raiding and must respect raid hours.
- First day of wipe: 10 PM – midnight
- Weekdays: 7 PM – midnight
- Weekends: 4 PM – midnight
Server Access
- VPN and proxy connections are not allowed without staff approval. Open a "VPN Whitelist" ticket before connecting through one.
- Players judged toxic or suspicious may be refused access or banned, at the staff's discretion.
- Repeatedly changing your name to confuse others is not allowed.
Fair Play
- Stream sniping results in a ban with no appeal.
- Deloot is forbidden: destroying, dropping or crafting items purely to stop a raider from looting them. Dropping tools or bows because your base is full is not deloot.
- Betraying your own team is forbidden, for example looting your team and changing the codes.
- Staff may inspect any player at any time when there is a suspicion.
- Record a screenshot or a video whenever a dispute happens. Without proof, we usually cannot act.
Contacting the Staff
- Always use a ticket. Do not send direct messages to staff members and do not ping them.
- Accusing a player or a staff member without proof leads to an immediate mute.
- Spreading false information about the server is sanctioned.
- Leaking someone's personal data (doxxing) results in a permanent ban.
- If in doubt about something in game, say nothing in chat and open a ticket instead.
